Have you noticed that in movies, which tell about the lives of aristocrats (who haven't gone broke) or rich, successful businessmen in conservative and modern interiors alike, you often see paintings, photographs or sculptures depicting horses? Or heroes and statesmen riding on horseback, but not in Rolls Royce or Mercedes cars.

Horses throughout the history of humankind leading up to the present times have been known for their strength, resilience, and energy, and they are perceived as the symbol of grace and victory.

In the western world, the perception of the horse has more of a practical nature and the influence of a horse's image is used more intuitively. Whereas the sages of the orient have dug deep into the minutest nuances in the strong impact of the horse's image and even offer recommendations for the design arrangements of an office or a home.

There are some principles regarding horses in Vastu shastra and Feng Shui which suggest that they are a symbol of power and therefore success. Horses depicted in photographs and sculptures at your home or office can have a more inducive effect on your victory.

  • Portrayals of a single horse in images or statues at your office can enhance your power, authority and attract good will.
  • The image of galloping red horses aggressively improve your business leading to a steady flow of commissions and jobs, which then increase your cash flow, improve your reputation and fame. Red is believed to represent aggressiveness, while a horse is a symbol of power and stamina.
  • Depictions of galloping white horses facilitates a better and smoother cash flow. It is believed to remove obstacles relating to financial issues.
  • The horse symbol should only be represented in the form of paintings or metal, wooden, or ceramic figurines.
  • Do not use a horse symbol made of leather.
  • You can adorn your desk with a decorated jumping horse, whose right foot is stamping, but the tail is lifted. This is considered a good omen. The stamping foot and the lifted tail represent a certain success.
  • Avoid hanging up a painting in your home consisting of abstract or broken images of horses. This only leads to a distortion of the image in the mind's eye.
  • The direction that the horses are galloping in is very important - they must always face towards the inside of your home and not away from your home.
